Sourpuss and Sweetie Pie Self Portraits:
On February 24th Riverside School will be visted by a guest artist, Linda Hajash.
The students will be creating self portraits using ideas from the book “Sourpuss and Sweetie Pie”, by Norton Juster and Chris Raschaka.
Ms. Hajash will be with Kinder and Grade One classes from 9:00- 9:30, and the Grade 2 and 3 classes from 9:40-10:10. The Grade 4-6 classes will be creating self portraits with her from 10:30-11:50 and 12:45-2:00.
We will be taking photos of your child from head to toe being either sweet or sour. They will be using their whole bodies to show how they might be feel and will be encouraged to be quite dramatic. The photos will be taken from a wide variety or perspectives, above, below, from behind with the student looking over their shoulder. They can be crouched or twisted.
